Navajo Sterling Silver Bracelet with Number 8 Turquoise

This fabulous bracelet was made by silversmith Jeanette Dale, a Navajo artist from near Shiprock, New Mexico. Jeanette born in the summer of 1949 to the Red House Clan in Shiprock, New Mexico. She was taught to be a silversmith by her mother Juanita Begay and has been creating jewelry since 1970. She works in both silver and gold using only natural stones.

This bracelet is made of sterling silver and set with 17 pieces of handcut natural Number 8 turquoise in a cluster design. The stones measure approximately 1/4 inch by 3/16 inch each. The inside circumference of this bracelet measures 5 1/4 inches plus an opening of 1 inch and it will fit a wrist measurement of approximately 6 1/4 inches. The cuff is 1 1/8 inches wide at the center and tapers to 5/16 inch wide at each end. Jeanette's bracelets are very solid but can be adjusted slightly.
