This fabulous Hopi belt buckle was made by silversmith Lawrence Saufkie and is signed with his hallmark. Lawrence learned to make jewelry from his father Paul Saufkie, one of the artists who created the overlay style of jewelry, and he has been making jewelry for over 50 years. Lawrence works with his wife Griselda, who is a well known basket maker, and both of them have been named as Arizona Living Treasures, an honor given to less than 50 people.

This belt buckle is made of sterling silver and features 2 walking bears. The buckle measures 3 inches by 2 inches and will fit a belt measuring 1 1/2 inches wide or smaller.
