Michael Kirk is a fabulous Navajo/Isleta jewelry artist who lives at the Isleta Pueblo in New Mexico. Michael was taught the art of silvsmithing by his older brother Andy and he has been creating his beautiful stylized jewelry since 1971. In 1997 he was chosen as the artist of the year by the Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA). His pieces are incredible one of a kind pieces of art and he specializes in custom jewelry.

This gorgeous bola tie is made of sterling silver and inlaid with turquoise, coral, mother of pearl, lapis, wild horse, and gaspeite. The ear of corn measures 3 1/2 inches by 1 3/8 inches and hangs from a brown leather braided tie measuring 52 inches in length.

Michael has accented the tie with two sterling overlay pieces measuring 2 inches in length each with a Kokopelli design. The sterling silver tips measure 2 inches in length each and are inlaid with gaspeite, lapis, coral, wild horse, shell, and turquoise.
