Navajo silversmith Edison Smith makes all of his jewelry using traditional techniques, without the use of any electricity. Each piece is hand hammered and stamped using old metal stamps without the use of any machinery. He is well known for his exquisite jewelry designs made with the look of early Navajo jewelry.

This pin was made in approximately 1975 by Edison as a gift for his mother. It is made of sterling silver with a beautiful hand stamped design and set with 15 natural high quality Morenci turquoise stones. The pin measures 4 1/4 inches by 2 5/8 inches. Stamped ESS.
